What's wrong with thin typefaces?

As a typography-led designer, I've seen a common yet subtle problem that can damage your bottom line.
It may look perfect on your high-resolution monitor, but when scaled down for social media, email headers, or low-res devices, that gorgeous thin font becomes pixelated and illegible.
The problem is simple: resolution. The impact, however, is significant: it negatively impacts your brand authority and damages your value proposition. A brand that can't be clearly read is a brand that can't be understood.
Thoughtful design is built on precision. Here are the three quick fixes that every Marketing Director and Brand Manager should implement to protect their visual assets:
Test the artwork on actual low-res devices to check it works.
Swap a thin typeface for a light or regular version for small text elements.
Avoid using thin typefaces at small sizes where clarity is critical.
